I wanted to get a piercing gun from a beauty shop around town. Just wondered if you could pierce your nose, lip, or tongue with it?Would an ear piercing instrument work on your nose/lip and other facial places?
you could try, but you would fail for several reasons.
1. the ';piercing'; studs used in a gun are too short for body piercings
2. the studs are also the wrong gauge for anything other than the nose (out of what you listed) standard for nose is 18 or 20, for tongue 14, and lip 14 or 16. this is crucial to let the piercing heal properly and to ensure that it won't migrate, creating a ';cheese cutter'; effect
3. you can't get a gun to fit properly over the piercing sites you listed, you'll get a crooked piercing
4. the butterfly backs used on piercing studs are a breeding ground for bacteria because of how many crevices there are and the fact that they are difficult to clean.
5. really guns should not even be used for ear lobe piercings.
as far as your remark about guns being used in shops. I would run very far away from ANY piercing shop that used a gun to perform a piercing.Would an ear piercing instrument work on your nose/lip and other facial places?
First off they don鈥檛 use guns in shops at all! A tattoo parlor with have a licensed piercer on staff that will use a needle a do things properly. With that being said guns are god awful and unsanitary. There are several groups that have been trying to outlaw them completely. They are not suited to do your ears let alone anything else. Your nose it will crush you cartilage. Your lip good luck trying to get the gun at a good enough angle to get it even mildly straight. And miss all of the nerves in there at the same time. Your tongue hopefully you don鈥檛 miss and hit one of the huge vines that goes through your tongue and bleed out. Self piercing is a horrible idea self piercing with a gun is still a bad idea.
LMAO piercing guns aren't used in tattoo shops.. are you like 12 years old?
Piercing guns aren't even safe for your ear lobes.
Hollow piercing needles are used in shops, not to mention other STERILE equipment and proper jewelry.
Also, piercings done in professional shops are done by PROFESSIONALS.
They use guns in pharmacies, or in the mall. In tattoo shops, they use needles. That's the right way to do it. Go and have it professionally done, you should never use a gun for anything. They're terrible for your body.
No. Piercing guns are bad enough for piercing ears. Piercing another body part with it is just an infection waiting to happen.
nope. their is too much pressure when a gun pierces a nose, lip, etc. which creates an infection. just get it done.its so much easier.
NEVER EVER EVER USE A GUN. Not even on ears.
There is no way to 100% sterilize it. Go to a tattoo shop to get pierced.
