I work in a restaurant in wisconsin and I've been looking into the laws of facial piercings while working in food service and I can't find diddly. I know two people who have them, one in her lip and one in her nose. They work with the food and with customers. Now, the one with the labret (lip piercing) doesn't take it out, and its small and she doesn't get any complaints. However, the one with the nose piercing takes it out when she works, and if she didn't, I'm sure she would get complaints cause closed minded people don't like to see that when they get food. All in all, I want to find out what the law says exactly about having and getting new facial piercings when you work in food service.
Anyone with information on the laws of facial piercings, your info is greatly appreciated. Anyone with a comment about how you dislike facial piercings or piercings altogether, it doesn't help my question to just say that and not have an answer. But I think its a load of crud, because its only if your serving that they really care. I think its more about appearances and hospitality in the food industry where piercings are a problem, than them poisoning the food or something haha

Health regulations stipulate that you should have no facial piercings whatsoever. There is always a risk of it falling into the food. Although the risk is minute, it still exists. Although there is no ';law';, your manager may well tell you to take it out.
I have several facial piercings, and ear piercings; and have to take all of them out - except for a single stopper in each ear - every time I go to work. It's annoying, but such is life in hospitality. I have never had a single customer walk out because I had piercings; instead they ask questions - even the more closed-minded people.
But yeah; working with food; you should always take your piercings out. And talking from experience, a nose stud is easier to disguise and less likely to fall out than a labret piercing.

There are no exclusively male salons in Pittsburgh that I know of. There are several barbers that are men-only, but that won't help with facials or massages. On the other hand, there are a few spas/salons that cater to men and women.
In the Pittsburgh area, several local day spas offer services and packages designed specifically for their male clientele. At The Sewickley Spa, a Gentlemen's Facial ($80 for 50 minutes) includes a deep facial massage and exfoliation and an energizing custom masque.
Nemacolin Woodlands Spa has a ';Just for Him'; package ($390) that includes a 50-minute sports massage, a 50-minute facial, 50-minute personal training session, Seasons spa lunch and a gift. Spa director Angela Taverner says skin care has become more important to men today.

Why do Military Service men and most government employee have no facial hair?

One is that you end up looking like a ghetto maggot bum which would make the unit look like a bunch of drunk scrubs with no life. The other is where you look like some fancy model who likes posing for pictures more than cutting through leaves and branches with a bare knife. Instead of having to deal with these and other extremes in appearance the military just cuts the damn hair off and makes everyone look the same--clean cut.
* Some may not be able to grow facial hair as well as others. This would create unnecessary awkwardness especially among teens. You fight with your muscle and brains not your hair and nails.

Our grooming standards started in WWI. Living in a hole in the ground packed like sardines and surronded by rats gave the men lice. So the US being the last to the war saw this and made the men buzz cut their hair so they couldn't get lice. They made them shave with issued Gillett disposable razors so they could seal their gas masks. The clean shaven look got popular after WWI among the civilian population as well and they bought the same gillett razors they used in the war.
Now a days it has some practical purpose. If you ever lived in the woods or desert it helps to have short hair, and we still have gas mask. It is also for professional military appearance, and tradition. There can still be relaxed grooming conditions for practical purposes such sharing common ground with the locals by growing out a beard but this is usually for Army Special Forces (Green Berets) because it is their specialty to train indiginous forces.
Since the military part is already answered above I will answer for the government employees. Most government employees are obese, balding desk jockeys whose idea of a workout is getting up to go get coffee. Its not that they aren't allowed to grow facial hair, its just the translucent peach fuzz on their upper lip is hard to notice.

Just remember that you dont have to tip them just because it is usually done. What I mean is if they are not doing a good job than do you really think they deserve a tip at all? I only tip if I get good service. If you have bad blackhads you will need one that dras them out and steams your skin that way your not left with blemishes. Somne only clear the heads and they are still in skin.Go see a beautician first get your skin type analysed, as some treatments can be too harsh for sensitive skin. you want to come out feeling an looking your best, not with red blemishes. Facial Hair grows quicker in some places than others!?
Ok... I am 17 and I have been shaving for about a 2 year now. If i dont shave inside 3-4 days, i start to get stubble... but it grows back quicker in some places than others. For example under then chin more than sideburns etc. I want to grow my sideburns... but the hair grows quicker on one side more than the other! well first it depends what side you sleep on that can be a problem cause the hair is not getting to breath/growing but only one side. try sleeping on your back or if you have hair that grows more than one side get a color eye pencil that goes with your hair type and just draw or sketch in it where theres no hair at. then get a hair brush and just gently brush it to make it look natural
Trust me it works my boyfriend does the same because some of his hair dont connect and you couldn't even tell it was a pencil

I do, you can see different emotions in them. There too many big actors than the film actors. In life many of us act. If you start observing, then you shall realize how many are leading a normal life and how many are leading an artificial life.
You will also realize how many have forgotten to smile.
You will also observe that many show their depression, disappointments in life on their face.
You can also find people with lots of desires.

One thing i love to do most..and i often do.. is that i try to notice if the smile of the person is genuine or artificial... and one can actually make this out.. many times u see girls who r sooooo conscious abt their looks and make-up that they behave in total artificial manner.. they smile sooo artificially.... on the other hand there r ppl who r soo relaxed and at ease with life.. they reallyy smile with ther heart.. even laugh out loud !! ...some of them smile in such lovely natural way that even u who is just watching them, will feel like smiling !!
It comes naturally to me..to observe expressions.. it has been in me always... and yes, if u can see someone close to u.. maybe if u r talking to someone.. eyes r the best mirrors.. u can see it in their eyes how much they r feeling wat they r saying... its quite clear in eyes...

I do it during the day, pretty much for a living, and write tons of observation/clinical notes; and it just seems to be something we do naturally, it just so happens I have a double dose of observation skills. Yes, I do find myself doing it constantly, and when I do it during my off hours, and verbalize my observations to my family, it drives them crazy!

What places hire people with facial piercings?
I need to get a job to finish paying off my cheerleading season. However, I have my lip pierced. I'm extremely attached to it, seeing as I have wanted the piercing for 6 years and finally got it about a month ago. Where are some places that will hire people with facial piercings? I can take it out, but I have to put in a clear retainer to keep it from closing. I would prefer to waitress, but other ideas are welcome.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the lip piercing is going to be tough to get potential employers to ignore. You will be talking to them with your mouth, so they can't help but notice it. I would suggest, at the very least, that you put in the clear retainer so it's not quite as noticeable.

I took a part time job at a grocery store and when I went to the interview I asked the manager about it and he said it was fine and I accepted the job...WELL when I got there for my first shift he went nuts and said it had to be taken out and started stomping his feet at me. I took it out and worked my shift. Before I left there was another worker talking to me saying how she couldn't wait to go home and smoke some pot she got...I thought to myself how fu***** stupid to hire someone who does drugs and then stamp your feet at me like a pack of wild animals because I have a facial piercing. Now it has grown up and I can't get the stud back in...I told my husband about it and he laughed...so I marched my butt back in there the next day and told the manager I quit...after that he called my house 21 times...no lie...he also called me from his house and his cell phone....CRAZY people in this world.free

We humans are predators, and predators have evolved good forward vision that also helps with depth perception. We need to see what is in front of us because we are chasing after it! Other animals need to watch out for predators, so they have eyes on the sides of their heads. They don't have good stereo vision but they can see what is on either side of them, almost a 360 degree field of view.
Birds are a good example of this. Owls are predators and their eyes are in front of their head while most other birds have their eyes on the sides. Owls can also turn their heads almost all the way around.
We humans (and robots) don't have such well-adapted physical traits because we use our brains to invent tools that compensate.

I'll answer your questions in the order they appear.
1. We did not come about randomly. Your question presupposes something that is simply not true. The entire point of the evolutionary process is that it is mostly non-random. That's why natural selection works.
2. Our arms and legs are where they are because they do their jobs. I don't see why they would be anywhere else, and you haven't made any argument that would indicate this is the case. I think you do not understand evolution. A mutation in evolution isn't like a mutation in X-men. Edit: to clarify, in X-men, mutants are given special powers. In the real world, genetic mutations are overwhelmingly likely to be destructive. My bio 101 teacher described it as ';taking a hammer to a rolex.'; Now, every once in a while there is a beneficial mutation, but these are far and few between. Because mutations are so rare, a lot of possible mutations that could be beneficial never come to be.
3. It would, but we have not yet developed a mutation that would allow us to have these attributes. If such a mutation were to occur, it would probably be beneficial. Evolution doesn't make us perfect beings, it just says that organisms better suited for survival are the ones that survive in the long run.

I'll answer your questions in the order they appear.
1. We did not come about randomly. Your question presupposes something that is simply not true. The entire point of the evolutionary process is that it is mostly non-random. That's why natural selection works.
2. Our arms and legs are where they are because they do their jobs. I don't see why they would be anywhere else, and you haven't made any argument that would indicate this is the case. I think you do not understand evolution. A mutation in evolution isn't like a mutation in X-men. Edit: to clarify, in X-men, mutants are given special powers. In the real world, genetic mutations are overwhelmingly likely to be destructive. My bio 101 teacher described it as ';taking a hammer to a rolex.'; Now, every once in a while there is a beneficial mutation, but these are far and few between. Because mutations are so rare, a lot of possible mutations that could be beneficial never come to be.
3. It would, but we have not yet developed a mutation that would allow us to have these attributes. If such a mutation were to occur, it would probably be beneficial. Evolution doesn't make us perfect beings, it just says that organisms better suited for survival are the ones that survive in the long run.

Ok... I am 17 and I have been shaving for about a 2 year now. If i dont shave inside 3-4 days, i start to get stubble... but it grows back quicker in some places than others. For example under then chin more than sideburns etc. I want to grow my sideburns... but the hair grows quicker on one side more than the other! That's perfectly normal. Moustache, then chin then sideburns is the most common pattern. You can see it in women too -- they normally have a lighter growth than men, and many who have no beard growth on their chin nevertheless have a moustache.

Definitely check out the bigger cities, because they tend to have a more diverse population so you will be more likely to find others that you have things in common with. Plus, there are more places to work so you will have better odds finding a job somewhere that doesn't mind piercings.
Chicago could be good, as would New York (although it's really expensive). I'm from California and have lived in the Bay Area my whole life. There is really no place like San Francisco. It can really be one of the most tolerant places I've ever visited!

Can a dental implant still be placed in lower jaw in the far back if site is near facial nerve?
I had an x-ray of the site and was told that placing an implant at this site may permanently damage my facial nerve since my facial nerve is higher up in my jaw. Is there a way to get around this problem in case I still need an implant placed here? I used to get facials every 4-6 weeks at a Chinese spa in downtown and paid $35 plus tips every time for half hour facial. The lady was nice and the facials used to help a lot. Is there any cure for facial herpes? And how do you get them in the first place?
Is there any permanent cure to get rid of herpes sores on your mouth and lips? I've had them ever since I was little. Whenever I get stressed or lose sleep, I also get big fat, painful herpes sores on my lips usually. For those of you that have them, they are EXTREMELY IRRITATING and it feels like I can't stop putting my tongue on them. I take some vitamins and amino acids that help prevent canker sores and stuff, but they always seem to come up right before a school dance or something and I get these big ugly scabs.... I also use this cream called Denavir which helps them go away sooner, but usually they last for two weeks even with the cream. Is there any possible cure to get rid of them forever? And how did I get them in the first place? Did one of my parents get herpes from a partner and give them to me :( ?Is there any cure for facial herpes? And how do you get them in the first place?
By the time we enter high school, 60% of us have oral herpes. It is not normally caught from a partner or through sexual activity, since most of us (hopefully) have not been sexually active by that age. It is normally caught from an adult that has it kissing you - often a parent or another relative. And that does not mean your parent caught it sexually on their mouth - they probably caught it as a baby or child from their parent, like you. However some people just show more symptoms, and some have none. 80% of adults have oral herpes, and 95% of people over 50 - is it extremely common. But four out of five people infected with it don't have symptoms. You are one of the unlucky ones.
My boyfriend caught oral herpes when he was five from an affectionate aunt. His first outbreak was so horrible he's never forgotten. You can also catch it from other children in the playground.
If you are really struggling with oral herpes, and have tried the diet and amino acids thing, I'd say try taking valtrex. It is normally prescribed for genital herpes, but since oral herpes is identical just in a different location, it can be prescribed for that too. You don't need to take it every day - I have genital herpes and I take a couple of tablets over 24 hours when I feel an outbreak coming on, and it pretty much always makes it go away again, even of you are already starting to get redness or swelling. Valtrex costs quite a bit, but if you are only taking 2 or 3 pills each time you feel an outbreak, then it is just as economical as cream.
Recent studies of antiviral therapy for herpes showed that taking the pills for 2 days when you feel symptoms coming is enough. I don't get many outbreaks now, but I don't want any. Valtrex makes a big difference to me.
Valtrex is what famous people are always caught with prescriptions for. Though they may have genital herpes, they usually take it because they have oral herpes and no famous person wants to be photographed with an enormous cold sore on their mouth - far too embarrassing!
On a side note, a change of diet also really worked for me. I have genital hsv-1 (the oral herpes virus), which is supposed to produce much fewer outbreaks than hsv-2. But I got about 6-8 a year. Then I gave up chocolate and sugar, and the only time since that I have even felt an outbreak coming on was when I had a moment of weakness and ate four chocolate bars in a row. Chocolate is a known trigger, as are things like nuts, and sugar can depress your immune system by about half in the 12 hours after eating it.
Also remember their is a risk you can give a girl genital hsv-1 like me if you ever go down on her. The risk is highest when you have a sore, but you should avoid kissing and mouth to genital contact from the first warning you feel to about a week after all symptoms have gone. Even then, there is still a slight risk when you have no symptoms. I have genital herpes because of the boyfriend who has cold sores. He gave me oral sex, but he didn't have a sore at the time at all, or any kind of symptom. It is a bit gross to think it made it's way from his aunt's mouth to my genitals...

My hubby is kinda like that. There are like 2 spots where he doesn't get a beard. Right at the corners of his mouth. He is 25. I guess he's always been that way. If you are pretty young, like under 16, it might go away. But it doesn't cause a problem for him because he always is clean-shaven...which I like....(purrs).....Facial hair grows out only in some places?
my guy has the same problem, he just shaped his facial hair around the growth. and says yes it will stay that way, get used to it.
It very likely won't do that when you're older.
When I was 17 my facial hair grew like yours does. It frustrated me too because I wanted to grow my facial hair. I also wondered if my facial hair would grow in consistently. I was around 24-25 before I could grow a full beard.
My cousin had that happen a lot. Over time he'd ';hair out'; and his facial hair would get thicker and better spread out.
But, until he grew it out for a while, it would still look very patchy.
Sometimes different parts of the face grow thicker than others.
Not much that I know of that you could do about it.
It probably will get more even as you grow older.
My husband is 40 and still has patchy facial hair. His brother has the same pattern. Neither can grow a mustache or beard of any kind. I think it has a lot to do with genetics.

Honestly, no one can answer that for you with any certainty. You'll really just have to wait and see how your beard comes in when you're older. One of my brothers has a really nice full beard, the other can't grow anything but patches and tufts (which doesn't stop him, and yes, he does look like a billy goat). The third brother says that if his grew out it would also be patchy.

My hubby is kinda like that. There are like 2 spots where he doesn't get a beard. Right at the corners of his mouth. He is 25. I guess he's always been that way. If you are pretty young, like under 16, it might go away. But it doesn't cause a problem for him because he always is clean-shaven...which I like....(purrs).....Facial hair grows out only in some places?
my guy has the same problem, he just shaped his facial hair around the growth. and says yes it will stay that way, get used to it.
It very likely won't do that when you're older.
When I was 17 my facial hair grew like yours does. It frustrated me too because I wanted to grow my facial hair. I also wondered if my facial hair would grow in consistently. I was around 24-25 before I could grow a full beard.
My cousin had that happen a lot. Over time he'd ';hair out'; and his facial hair would get thicker and better spread out.
But, until he grew it out for a while, it would still look very patchy.
Sometimes different parts of the face grow thicker than others.
Not much that I know of that you could do about it.
It probably will get more even as you grow older.
My husband is 40 and still has patchy facial hair. His brother has the same pattern. Neither can grow a mustache or beard of any kind. I think it has a lot to do with genetics.

Honestly, no one can answer that for you with any certainty. You'll really just have to wait and see how your beard comes in when you're older. One of my brothers has a really nice full beard, the other can't grow anything but patches and tufts (which doesn't stop him, and yes, he does look like a billy goat). There are many products on the market... But you also can pluck or shave as well! That is best unless it is just way too much! There are other ways such as bleaching it or electrotrolis..That is very expensive! My preferance is a good old fashion dollar pair of tweezers, unless it is a bikini thing then just shave it! I would say that if you don't want to do it yourself you could always try a beauty college. They usually have the students work for only the price that it costs to cover what they use and they do a pretty good job. Facials aren't like haircuts. They aren't that hard to mess up on.

I would say that if you don't want to do it yourself you could always try a beauty college. They usually have the students work for only the price that it costs to cover what they use and they do a pretty good job. Facials aren't like haircuts. They aren't that hard to mess up on.

my company's handbook says it allows for beards only if you have a medical reason with a doctors note. what on earth could be a medical reason for having a beard????Facial hair policy in the work place?

Personally I think it is a violation of civil rights if an employer does not allow you to have facial hair, but some OSHA regulations may require it.
To all those that read this, be aware if you have facial hair and would like to keep it, check your job description, and the OSHA regualtions pertaining to that job description, if OSHA does not have any requirements reguarding facial hair, and you want to keep your facial hair, and the employer does not permit it, your next stop is your local civil liberties office! I'm tired of having a baby face i would rather shave everyday and try to maintain a beard, then have to have a shaggy look after a week or two of not shaving. How can i control facial sweating in a very hot place! my makeup is running away from my face?
Unfortunatly sweating is natural and the hotter it is, the more you sweat. We lose 40%+ of our excess heat through our head. Fortunatly, this keeps us from frying our brains, though far too many people find other means of doing that.

Veer away from oil based creams during day time, you can use them during the night.

Washing helps remove dust that accumulated on the surface of the skin, toning provides additional cleaning as well as it preps the skin by removing dead skin cells that can just block healthy cells' absorption of the third step, the moisturizer.

They have a line of products that really is good for our type of skin, I personally recommend the Enzyme Cleansing Wash, Cucumber Toner and the best HONEY MOISTURIZER. I don't know about facial exercises, but unless you're already horribly disfigured from an accident or something, don't go with surgery. It's expensive, still not permanent, and when it goes wrong, it goes HORRIBLY wrong!
